Everything today really is mobile. From the smartphones in our pockets to the infrastructure that powers our connected lives, mobile technology makes our world faster, smarter, and even a little bit more fun.

But all of these advances are exposing all of us to new risks, and cyber attacks against mobile are on the rise and getting more sophisticated. So it’s exciting for me and my team from Check Point to be first-time exhibitors at Mobile World Congress where we’ll be sharing our vision for keeping the Internet of everything safe.

We’ve experienced a tremendous year of growth in our mobile security business, demonstrating our leadership in the global effort to thwart cyber crime. Since mobile devices are front and center in the enterprise, Mobile World Congress was a natural opportunity to highlight our advanced mobile security solutions.

At the event, we’ll showcase Check Point Mobile Threat Prevention, newly discovered vulnerabilities, and provide demonstrations of how cybercriminals can use mobile devices, apps, and networks to compromise privacy and data security.

We’re also pleased to share that in the last year, we’ve experienced rapid customer growth, built new integrations and made product enhancements to Check Point Mobile Threat Prevention that offer our customers reliable protection from mobile attacks with an unparalleled end user experience.

Since launching just over six months ago, Check Point has experienced significant market adoption of Mobile Threat Prevention. The solution is currently in use by dozens of new customers across all industries, most notably Samsung Research America (SRA), a wholly owned subsidiary of technology innovator Samsung Electronics Company, South Korea.

Steve Lentz, director of information security at SRA tells us “Check Point’s Mobile Threat Prevention is the best zero-day malware protection available for our mobile devices. It prevents compromised devices from accessing our network. With Check Point, our IP is secure and that’s peace of mind.”

Building on our partnerships with enterprise mobility management leaders AirWatch by VMware and MobileIron, Check Point this year deepened its strategic relationship with IBM. Check Point Mobile Threat Prevention now offers the MaaS360® platform advanced behavioral risk analysis capabilities for mobile devices, apps and networks, enabling automatic mitigation of sophisticated threats. These fully-integrated solutions offer fast, reliable protection for an organization’s mobile devices and data.

Additional milestones for Check Point Mobile Threat Prevention include:

  • Discovery of several sophisticated mobile threats, including Certifi-gate and Brain Test, which affect millions of devices worldwide, and all of which can be prevented by using Check Point Mobile Threat Prevention.
  • New product enhancements including an all-new iOS app; improvements to the Android app; and a redesigned administrative interface intended to make mobile threat management fast, easy and cost-effective.

Please join me and our team of mobile security experts at Mobile World Congress to discuss mobile security trends and cyber security for the Internet of Things as well as the company’s latest vulnerability research, such as how hackers can outsmart Smart TVs to gain full access to a user’s home network.

Visit us in Hall 8 at Stand 8.0D29 in the Internet of Things Pavilion and at the VMware booth, located in Hall 3 Stand 3K10.
