Securing Remote and Hybrid Workspace with Harmony Mobile
“The hybrid work environment is here to stay. BYOD is back in full force and companies need to implement strategies to keep their data and their employees’ safe,” says Rafi Kretchmer, VP Product Marketing at Check Point Software. “With this in mind, Check Point Harmony Mobile is designed to protect remote users in a single solution that is easy to use.”
Check Point Harmony Mobile is a mobile threat defense solution designed to keep corporate data safe by securing employees’ mobile devices across all attack vectors: apps, network and OS. It easily fits into your existing mobile environment, deploys and scales quickly, and protects devices without impacting user experience nor privacy.
Omdia’s Market Radar identifies Harmony Mobile’s key differentiators that helped it earn the Market Leadership. Among them:
- Delivering “a comprehensive set of capabilities that help businesses protect data across application, network, and device attack vectors. Features include a behavioral risk engine, anti-phishing, safe browsing, and man-in-the-middle protection in addition to protection against OS vulnerabilities and device-level exploits”
- Integration “with all the major enterprise mobility management (EMM)/UEM solutions in the market, including Microsoft Endpoint Manager, VMware Workspace One, MobileIron Cloud and Core, BlackBerry UEM, IBM MaaS360, Citrix XenMobile, and Jamf. Additionally, Check Point offers an API for any other third-party UEM vendors to integrate their solutions with Harmony Mobile.”
“Check Point has experienced significant traction of its mobile security offering, with impressive revenue and growth associated with its solution” – writes Adam Holtby – “Its mobile security management solutions are adopted by businesses across all industries, with strong traction in government. Check Point has experienced good adoption growth in its mobile security management solution this past year, largely driven by the need to better secure and enable a more mobile-first workforce”.
Mobile Threats Can No Longer Be Ignored
As confirmed by Omdia’s report, mobile security is no longer optional. “The number of attacks and data breaches associated with mobility has increased significantly in line with the rapid rise in remote and mobile working over the past year. To counter this threat, businesses must adopt a robust approach to mobile security supported by mobile threat prevention, detection, response, and remediation capabilities”, – states Market Radar’s author Adam Holtby – “Mobile security must be considered and managed as part of a broader business approach and cybersecurity strategy, guided by the CISO where possible”.
While workforces adapt to a hybrid work environment, Check Point Software’s Mobile Security Report 2021 found that 97% of organizations have faced mobile threats that used multiple attack vectors in the past year.
- 93% of these attacks originated in a device network, which attempts to trick users into installing a malicious payload via infected websites or URLs, or to steal users’ credentials.
- 46% of organizations had at least one employee download a malicious mobile application that threatened their organization’s networks and data in 2020.
- Moreover, Check Point found that at least 40% of the world’s mobile devices are inherently vulnerable to cyber attacks making mobile security a vital tool in the fight against cybercrime.
