Check Point Attains Infrastructure Distinction in AWS Security Competency
By Mark Brindley, Head of Global Cloud Security Alliances, published July 26, 2022
Check Point Software Technologies announced today that it has achieved the Infrastructure Security distinction in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Security Competency. This designation recognizes that Check Point has demonstrated and successfully met AWS’s technical and quality requirements for providing a deep level of software expertise in Infrastructure Security to help customers achieve their cloud security goals.
Achieving the Infrastructure Security distinction in the AWS Security Competency differentiates Check Point as an AWS Partner that provides specialized software designed to help companies from startups and mid-sized businesses to the largest global enterprises to adopt, develop and deploy security into their AWS environments increasing their overall security posture on AWS. To receive the designation, partners must possess deep AWS expertise and deliver solutions seamlessly on AWS.
The Infrastructure Security designation of the AWS Security Competency is a significant endorsement of Check Point’s leadership in delivering zero-trust network security to protect customer data and workloads on AWS.
Check Point CloudGuard Network Security complements existing AWS services and security capabilities, making it easier for customers to deploy security architectures with a seamless unified experience across AWS and hybrid architectures. The Check Point unified security management console provides consistent visibility, policy management, logging, reporting, and control across all cloud environments, infrastructures, networks, as well as for on-premises deployments, all from a single pane of glass. Check Point is delighted to be recognized for this achievement and takes pride in providing enhanced security benefits to customers—whether they’re looking to reduce friction in migration and modernization efforts or simply secure their AWS footprint as they grow.
Security, Automated, Everywhere on AWS with CloudGuard Network Security
CloudGuard natively integrates with AWS services and tools including the latest architecture constructs such as AWS Gateway Load Balancer and AWS Transit Gateway. This extends comprehensive threat prevention security to AWS and protects assets in the cloud from the latest attacks. It also integrates with AWS CloudFormation, an AWS service that enables modeling and setting up AWS resources in an automated fashion.
Providing advanced threat prevention with an industry-leading catch rate of malware, ransomware and other types of attacks, CloudGuard Network Security is the cloud version of Check Point’s Network Firewall, which has been a Leader on the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Network Firewall for 22 consecutive years.
Additionally, deep integrations with AWS native services ensures an optimal user experience. This includes command and control cloud-native security gateways programmatically, supporting Infrastructure As Code, CI/CD practices, automation of processes using APIs and security automation use cases for response and remediation teams.
To keep its clients’ digital and physical archives secure, Trofi Security relies on Check Point Software Technologies and AWS. “What we needed was a solution that integrates machine learning as well as AI — and that’s exactly what Check Point delivered,” said Michael Trofi, Founder, Trofi Security. “We needed someone who saw our needs as a partnership, not a vendor transaction.”
Next steps:
Achieving the Infrastructure Security distinction in the AWS Security Competency is an exciting step forward in Check Point’s continued support of AWS customers—but it’s only one of many activities Check Point is undertaking in the coming weeks:
- Check Point is a Platinum sponsor at AWS re:Inforce, taking place at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center July 26-27, 2022. Visit booth #500 in the expo hall and meet with our team of cloud experts to get a demo of our solutions. Don’t miss our session “Beyond unification: How CNAPP must reduce cloud security risk,” presented by Yuval Shchory, Head of Cloud Security Product Management, on Tuesday, July 26th, Partner Theater B.
- Check Point has announced CloudGuard Network Security-as-a-Service, and customers can now sign up for the Early Availability program. If your organization is interested, please sign up here.
- Check Point recently added support for AWS Cloud WAN. Now, AWS customers can simplify their architecture and configuration, while still using the same enterprise-class security features of CloudGuard Network Security to protect their network traffic.
