This year, Microsoft’s Ignite conference is different. With both in-person and virtual options, Microsoft promises a new kind of Ignite, with an emphasis on “Do more with less in the Microsoft Cloud.” Check Point’s cloud security platform enables Azure customers to attain Microsoft’s goal, securing all assets and workloads across multi-clouds, automating security everywhere. Check Point is proud to participate in this year’s Ignite conference for both the Seattle (October 12-13) and online (October 12-14) options.

Microsoft and Check Point: Three Key Takeaways from Microsoft Ignite

Microsoft and Check Point have a long-established partnership spanning more than 20 years. As a founding member of the Microsoft Intelligent Security Association (MISA),  Check Point is committed to enabling joint customers to adopt Microsoft Azure confidently and securely to accelerate faster innovations to grow their business.

Check out Check Point’s sessions and offerings at the conference:

1. Discover Best Practices to Secure Azure Virtual WAN

In Check Point’s in-person table talk (October 13, 10:00 a.m.), Security Architect, Greg Pepper, will discuss Best Security Practices for Azure Virtual WAN, focusing on common use cases and reference designs to enhance its security.

Check Point is also showcasing the new CloudGuard Managed Virtual WAN Security offering, a cloud-native security gateway which provides a full range of security protections through Check Point’s advanced threat prevention software architecture. The advanced threat prevention technologies protect Azure cloud deployments from unauthorized access and attacks. In addition, CloudGuard Managed Virtual WAN Security can be controlled from within Azure or using your existing on-premises Check Point Security Management system. From a single console, enforce a consistent security policy for corporate assets in your Azure Virtual WAN, Azure cloud, hybrid clouds, and on-premises infrastructure

Following the table talk, security architect John Guo will participate in a Microsoft Teams-based “Demo Bytes” session on setting up CloudGuard Managed Virtual WAN Security—this will be live in Seattle, but can be viewed remotely as well.

2. Join our EA Program to enhance security for your Azure Virtual WAN Hub with CloudGuard

Check Point is still accepting applications for our Early Availability (EA) program to see how Azure Virtual WAN Hub security enables advanced threat prevention and zero-trust segmentation, providing customers with simplified network connectivity, maximum security, and reduced operational overhead. Customers can benefit from:

  • Easy, intuitive and quick-to-deploy managed security application with minimum maintenance
  • Industry-leading advanced threat prevention
  • Single pane-of-glass to consistently secure all your hybrid datacenters, everywhere

3. Attend our expert and on-demand sessions!

On October 12 at 1:30 p.m., cloud security expert Shane Wells will be part of an Expert Meet-Up on Modernizing Apps on Azure. If you’ll be in Seattle, be sure to schedule this session into your agenda!

Check Point also has a Video On-Demand session: How CNAPP Must Reduce Cloud Security Risk. Yaffa Finkelstein, Head of Product Marketing Threat Prevention, will dive into how unification must be the first step toward securing cloud workloads. Even with unification, teams still struggle with alert fatigue, DevOps friction, and manual prioritization of security tasks. Find out smarter approaches to security and to help:

  • Retire risk while keeping DevOps teams empowered and agile
  • Pull business objectives into alert prioritization
  • Reduce the organization’s impact vulnerability
  • Establish effective cloud security policy to help reduce risk
  • Eliminate friction with DevOps teams
  • Turn security into a push for innovation
