Categories and Winners

The first award category is Quantum Implementation of the Year. Our winner is E-distribuzione S.P.A, Italy’s leading power distributor. With a complex, critical infrastructure network that required protection for all data flows, E-Distribuzione implemented thousands of Quantum Rugged Security Gateways. Quantum’s simple solid-state design, redundant power supplies and rugged hardware withstand the harshest conditions. Today, E-Distribuzione securely delivers power with continuous connection and protected, untampered data. As Roberto Corgiolu, Head of O&M Telecommunication & Telecontrol Italy explained, “We chose check point because it is a world leader in telecommunications network security, because it is able to offer high levels of support through direct access to the development team and because it is supported by partners with high professional skills. Thanks Check Point!”

In the Infinity Implementation of the Year category, organizations use Check Point solutions to implement a dynamic and robust infrastructure prepared for all vectors. Congratulations to our winner Ramat Gan, one of Israel’s most technologically advanced cities. Ramat Gan consolidated its previous multi-vendor infrastructure using Infinity. Their consolidated security environment delivers next-generation threat protection for its network and cloud deployments with Quantum and CloudGuard. City employees also enjoy secure email and access from anywhere, on any device, with the entire Harmony suite. Kobi Noah, CIO, said “Check Point Infinity provides a complete solution, not just defense against a single vector. Check Point helped us implement the best solution quickly, which was very important to us.”

Our winner of the CloudGuard Implementation of the Year award is Volkswagen Financial Services. With more than 11,000 employees worldwide, Volkswagen Financial offers its customers leasing, financing, insurance and mobile payment services to ensure that its customers stay financially flexible and mobile in over 50 markets. The company moved to the cloud and CloudGuard for advanced cyber security, compliance and governance capabilities. As Crispin Weißfuß, Head of AWS Managed Platform Services said, “Check Point has the strongest offering for cloud security posture management for our use case.  For us, it’s very important that we can see the real estate and compliance score for our AWS accounts. One of the best benefits for us besides the CloudGuard product is our CloudGuard support team. They are always there for us.”

Two Harmony projects won Implementation of the Year. Lesaffre is the global leader in fermentation. In a context of the increasing scarcity of resources, LESAFFRE must ensure healthier and more sustainable food for the people who will populate the planet in 2050. Our mission: working together to better nourish and protect the planet. Lesaffre needed to secure 11,000 employees around the world, as well as its data and proprietary information. For more than four years, Harmony has successfully secured more than 6,000 user computers and 4,000 user cell phones. Didier Stucki, Group IT CISO said, “We see Check Point as a major actor in cybersecurity. An important outcome of our collaboration has been the ability to move from a centralized model to a decentralized model with multiple tenants while keeping global visibility across our assets.”

Our second winner in this category is Aalborg Kommune, Denmark’s fourth-largest city and a thriving economic force. As Alborg moved to Microsoft 365, it needed consistent, outstanding email security for 19,000 email boxes. The city selected Harmony Email and Collaboration, formerly Avanan. In less than one month, the city deployed and secured all email boxes while gaining granular visibility and virtually eliminating email security trouble tickets. René Ellersgaard, Systems Engineer for Aalborg Kommune remarked that “Check Point was very easy to integrate into our current environment and is easy for our support engineers to use.”

We congratulate these customers for their vision and leadership as together, we move security forward.
