New SAT Training Module – Social Engineering & Manipulation Techniques
Harmony Email & Collaboration now introduces a new SAT Training module – Social Engineering & Manipulation Techniques – designed to help employees recognize and resist emotionally driven cyber attacks.
Social engineering remains one of the most effective attack methods because it targets human behavior rather than technical vulnerabilities. Attackers exploit natural emotional responses to bypass security controls and manipulate employees into taking harmful actions. This new module helps organizations strengthen their human layer of defense by addressing this risk directly.
The Social Engineering & Manipulation Techniques module teaches employees how cyber criminals use urgency, authority, fear, curiosity, and sympathy to influence decisions. Through realistic scenarios – including impersonated executives requesting urgent payments, fake IT messages asking for credentials, suspicious internal chat links, and even physical tailgating attempts – learners see how everyday workplace situations can quickly escalate into security incidents. The training also explains the psychology behind these attacks, such as cognitive overload and pattern recognition, and reinforces practical habits like pausing before clicking, verifying unexpected requests through trusted channels, and reporting suspicious activity immediately. The result is greater employee awareness, reduced risk of credential theft and financial fraud, and stronger organizational resilience against manipulation-based attacks.
