Getting to Know Kelvin Tse

Kelvin, can you tell us about your role at Check Point?

As a Channel Account Manager, my key responsibilities include collaborating closely with our partners and ensuring that our business strategies are aligned. I focus on understanding our partners’ core value propositions and go-to-market strategies to enhance Check Point’s presence, visibility, and influence, while building trusted relationships with key decision-makers. I also aim to identify and drive early engagement with potential new customers to expand Check Point’s market share.

What led you to a career in cyber security at Check Point?

The frequency and sophistication of cyberattacks has highlighted how crucial cyber security is. It has been incredible to be part of Check Point. From pioneering firewall technology to fueling the next generation of intelligent security with AI, Check Point delivers security solutions that provide advanced protection against mega-cyberattacks and zero-day cyber threats.
In this ever-changing and dynamic landscape, there is always something new to discover that aligns with my passion for continuous learning and skill development, with the aim of bringing the best solutions to customers.

What do you find most rewarding in your job?

The most rewarding part of my role is the trust I have built with both the management team and our partners. This mutual trust fosters open communication, which allows me to continually strive for excellence and deliver great results. Being recognized as a Top Performing Channel Account Manager also boosted my motivation and reaffirmed my confidence in my ability to drive success.

Can you share a recent project or initiative you’ve been involved in at Check Point that you’re proud of?

I recently had the opportunity to work with a partner for Check Point’s MSSP program. The goal of the program is to empower MSSPs with the best security in a simple, scalable, profitable business model to build recurrent business. To achieve this, I identified various potential partners who aligned with our values and goals. We listened to our partners and engaged in numerous discussions to find win-win opportunities. The culmination of our efforts has successfully led to a signed partnership agreement. I am very proud of this collaboration, as it helps build sustainable relationships.

What piece of advice would you give to your younger self?

Embrace curiosity and don’t be afraid to ask questions. The pursuit of knowledge and understanding is a lifelong journey. Explore new interests and be open to new ideas. Knowledge and adaptability are powerful tools for navigating life’s challenges. Finally, take care of your mental well-being just as you would your physical health, seek help when needed, and make time for self-care to maintain a healthy balance in life.
