Employee Spotlight: Getting to Know Shila Elisha-Aloni

Shila, can you tell us a bit about yourself?

I’m an HR Partner for EMEA. I’m 33-years-old, a proud mom to Naomi and married to Yonatan, and we live in a small kibbutz in the north of Israel.

I hold a BA in Social Work and an MA in Organizational Development, and I always say I’m incredibly lucky to combine my passion for people with my professional skills.

What led to your decision to join Check Point?

The decision to join Check Point was driven by my desire to be part of such a successful and leading Israeli company. Along the way, I met amazing people who have been with Check Point for over a decade (and not just one!). I realized there’s something truly special about this place that makes great people want to stay for so long – and that’s not something you see every day in the tech industry.

What is your current role and what does a typical day look like for you?

I’m an HR Partner for the European countries, and for Inside Sales across EMEA. What I love most about my role is that while I know how my day will start, I never quite know how it will end. Each day presents new challenges with different people and cultures.

What’s especially exciting is that despite Check Point being a large and established company, there’s always room for change, growth, and new initiatives that align with my values. For instance, I’m currently leading the Women Mentoring Program for EMEA, which is a cause I’m truly passionate about.

What are you most proud of personally and professionally?

Professionally, I’m proud that I dared to dream and pursue those dreams, which have led me to where I am today. Coming from a non-traditional background with informal education, I’ve learned that different experiences shape your path in unexpected ways. It’s about believing that no matter where you start, you can always aim high. Personally, I’m incredibly proud of my family and the life that we’ve built. I’m grateful for the ability to challenge myself daily and manage the balance between life in a kibbutz and working for a global leader company far away from home.

What can we find you doing outside of work?

The most important thing is spending quality time with my loved ones- my family and friends. Alongside that, I love to travel a lot (especially in the desert of Israel), enjoy reading books (luckily, I have a long way to the office!), practicing yoga, cooking, solving puzzles, and on good days – going for a run!
