Check Point Email Security now expands attachment preview capabilities, enabling secure in-browser preview of many more file types during email investigations.

Investigating suspicious emails often requires analysts to inspect attachments before making remediation decisions. Until now, Check Point Email Security supported previewing HTML attachments directly from the email profile page. With this update, administrators and SOC analysts can securely preview a much broader range of attachment types without downloading them, helping accelerate investigations while reducing risk.

In addition to HTML files, Check Point Email Security now supports secure preview for PDF documents, Microsoft Office files, text files (TXT, JSON, CSV, and XML), image files (PNG, JPEG, and GIF), and EML files. All supported attachments are rendered in a secure browser display, allowing security teams to safely inspect their contents without opening them locally.

By expanding attachment preview support, security teams can investigate email incidents more efficiently, validate suspicious content faster, and make informed remediation decisions without exposing analyst workstations to potentially malicious files. The streamlined investigation workflow helps reduce the need to download attachments or rely on external tools, improving both security and operational efficiency.

To preview an attachment, open the email page and under the Attachments section, click on the eye icon.
