Check Point Email Security now introduces SmartConfig, helping administrators easily identify and enable recommended security and productivity best practices.

Keeping an email security platform optimally configured can become challenging as new capabilities are introduced over time. While many new features are enabled automatically, some are intentionally left for administrators to decide – especially when they may impact the end user experience. SmartConfig helps ensure you never miss valuable improvements by highlighting recommended configurations in one centralized location.

SmartConfig introduces two best practice scores – a Security Score and a Productivity Score – giving you instant visibility into how well your environment is configured to maximize protection and efficiency. A dedicated recommendations page highlights opportunities to improve these scores, allowing you to review and enable suggested configurations with a single click.

Recommendations include settings such as ensuring all users are protected by preventative policies, automatically blocking compromised accounts, and enabling additional automations for both administrators and end users that simplify administration, reduce user friction, and strengthen security. Instead of manually tracking newly released capabilities, SmartConfig continuously guides you toward configurations that help you get the most value from Check Point Email Security.

To access SmartConfig, navigate to Security Settings > SmartConfig in the Check Point Email Security portal to review your recommendations and enable best practice configurations.

This feature is being gradually deployed and will be available in customer portals over the next 14 days.
