MSP administrators can now quickly reset a user’s two-factor authentication (2FA) settings directly from the Avanan MSP Portal, making it easy for users to regain access and securely re-enroll their authenticator app.

Managing user access is a common administrative task, especially when users replace their mobile devices, accidentally remove their authenticator app, or lose access to their existing 2FA configuration. This new capability gives MSP administrators a simple way to help users recover without requiring additional support steps.

Check Point Email Security now allows MSP administrators to reset a user’s 2FA configuration with a single click. After the reset, the user’s existing authentication profile is cleared, and they will be prompted to configure two-factor authentication again the next time they log in. This helps minimize downtime while ensuring users continue to authenticate securely.

How to Enable

To reset a user’s two-factor authentication:

  1. Open the Avanan MSP Portal.
  2. Navigate to Settings > User Management.
  3. Edit the desired user.
  4. Expand 2FA – Two Factor Authentication.
  5. Click Reset 2FA.
  6. Save the changes.

This feature is gradually being deployed and will be available in Avanan MSP portals over the next 7 days.
