Smart Banners can now be localized to each user’s preferred language and support compound exceptions based on sender and recipient combinations.

Smart Banners help organizations increase employee security awareness and reinforce company policies by adding contextual guidance to emails based on AI-detected use cases. As adoption continues to grow across global enterprises, Check Point Email Security is expanding Smart Banners with greater flexibility for both end users and administrators.

Deliver Smart Banners in Each User’s Preferred Language

Every Smart Banner is now available in multiple languages, with the option to customize the content of each language version individually. End users automatically see Smart Banners in their preferred language, as set in their Microsoft / Google account.

This allows global organizations to provide security guidance in employees’ preferred languages while maintaining the flexibility to tailor messaging to their organization. By making Smart Banners easier to understand and more relevant to each user, organizations can increase engagement with security guidance and reinforce company policies across multilingual environments.

For Microsoft customers, localization will be gradually deployed over the next month. Customers who would like to enable the capability before it reaches their portal can contact Check Point Support. For Google customers, gradual deployment and availability through Check Point Support are scheduled to begin in the first week of October.

More Granular Smart Banner Exceptions

Check Point Email Security now provides more granular control over Smart Banner exceptions. Administrators can configure compound exceptions based on a combination of the sender and recipient, ensuring that a Smart Banner is excluded only when both conditions are met.

For example, an organization can exclude Smart Banners from emails sent by a trusted partner to a specific recipient or group of recipients, while continuing to display Smart Banners on emails from that same sender to everyone else. This provides organizations with precise control over trusted email flows without unnecessarily reducing Smart Banner coverage for other users.

To configure an exception, go to Security Settings > Exceptions > Smart Banners and add the required sender and recipient combination.

The new compound exception capability is being gradually deployed and should be available in all customer portals over the next 7 days.
