Wildcard Support Now Available for URL Filtering

ByCheck Point Team
We’re excited to announce Wildcard Support for our URL Filtering rules. The new feature offers administrators greater flexibility in managing internet access. Use the *
wildcard to match multiple URLs with similar patterns, streamlining rule creation and enforcement.
How It Works
Wildcard patterns simplify rule definitions by matching a range of URLs, saving you time and effort. For example:
- Pattern:
*.example.com
Matches:www.example.com/
,blog.example.com/page
,shop.example.com/category/product
, and any subdomains or paths underexample.com
.
Key Benefits
- Efficiency: No need to specify each URL individually, cover broad patterns instead!
- Flexibility: Easily manage complex URL structures
- Scalability: Ensure policies stay effective as domains evolve and URLs change
