Check Point signs Strategic Collaboration Agreement with AWS to expand cloud security capabilities

In 2024, Check Point continues to expand AWS support. Our customer wins and our new agreements underscore Check Point’s commitment to the AWS Cloud.

New Strategic Collaboration Agreement

Big news! Check Point and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have signed a multi-year Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) to develop and expand Check Point’s capabilities on AWS. Check Point already has a full set of solutions available on AWS Marketplace, including several Software-as-a-Service offerings. This SCA will leverage collaboration between Check Point and AWS, to help businesses deliver better, faster, and easier—and more secure—customer and employee experiences.

Check Point has built over 50 integrations with AWS services to provide customers with an optimized experience. Thousands of customers are actively using Check Point CloudGuard, Harmony, and Infinity products with AWS services like AWS Lambda, AWS Security Hub, Amazon Inspector, AWS CodeBuild, and more.

Support for AWS Marketplace’s DSOR Feature

Check Point continues to build on a long history of cloud marketplace offerings and success.  Our latest addition is support for AWS Marketplace’s Designated Seller of Record (DSOR) feature. With DSOR, Check Point includes our trusted distribution partners as the designated partner of record in our procurement process on the AWS Marketplace. Incorporating Check Point strategic distribution partners will create new AWS Marketplace opportunities, accelerate sales cycles, leverage existing operational readiness, expand into new markets faster, and increase overall support services for an expanded group of partners and customers.  As the designated seller of record, distribution partners create a SaaS limited listing to sell on Check Point’s behalf through two transaction mechanisms:

• DSOR Channel Model: utilize a two-tier resell mechanism using CPPO that enables reselling partners
• DSOR Direct Model: utilize AWS Marketplace Private Offers (MPPO) to complete a transaction directly

Initial distribution partners authorized by Check Point for the new DSOR feature of AWS Marketplace include Ingram Micro, TD SYNNEX, and Carahsoft Technology in the Americas, and Westcon-Comstor in EMEA and ANZ.

Advanced solutions to protect GenAI in the AWS cloud

Check Point presented at an AWS Security Live session earlier this year, with Aaron Brongersma, the leader of Check Point’s Cloud Center of Excellence. Margo Cronin co-hosted along with Rob Hale, who was broadcasting his feed from Check Point’s CPX conference in Vienna.

Brongersma discussed at length about using the latest generative AI tools to enhance security on AWS—as well as how Check Point will protect against security issues like “shadow AI.”

As Check Point is delivering on the latest technologies to enhance security on the AWS cloud, 2024 is shaping up to be an exciting year for both Check Point and AWS. We’re excited to see what the next few months—and years!—hold.
