Check Point’s Rayna Healy Named to CRN 2024 Channel Women on the Rise List

We’re excited to share that CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has named Rayna Healy, MSP Sales Manager, to its 2024 Channel Women on the Rise list. This annual list honors up-and-coming women whose commitment and innovative strategies are driving success for solution providers throughout the IT channel. To celebrate Rayna’s achievements, we asked her some questions to get to know her better.

Rayna, you tell us about what you do at Check Point?

I work on the Email Security team to enable Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to effectively protect their clients from email security threats. With 90% of cyberattacks originating via email, our goal is to help MSPs understand the landscape, build business efficiencies around securing the email threat vector, reduce risks for their clients, and grow their business as the market shifts away from traditional ways of securing the inbox. I collaborate with distributors like Pax8 to help them enable their MSP partners to successfully onboard, sell, and manage Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration.

What initially drew you to a career in cyber security?

Cyber security captured my attention because it’s as much a technology play as it is a psychology play. The threat landscape shifts every single day, which means that our technology and our way of thinking about securing networks has to innovate just as quickly. This field requires constant creativity, innovation, and problem solving. Securing data, businesses, and people’s personal finances and identities, is becoming increasingly topical as the bar for entry for cyber criminals continues to lower. I love being part of a company that works every day to solve this problem.

How do you stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments?

I’m a huge fan of industry podcasts like Cyber Wire Daily, books on cybercrime (Sand Worm is my favorite!), and talking to as many partners as possible about their experiences.

What would you describe as your most memorable achievement?

Working with Pax8 to enable their MSP partners to safeguard their clients and grow their businesses has been incredible. We started with zero licenses at Pax8 two years ago and have since won their APAC and North American Vendor MVP awards due to our ability to scale and grow within their partner base. We have grown at least 300% each year with them. It has taken creative problem solving and efficient collaboration, and the results have been incredible. I have learned so much about relationship building at scale, and I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together.

How do you enjoy spending your time outside of work?

I live in Colorado with my dog and my husband. We spend as much time hiking, camping, and being in the mountains as possible. We spent 5 years living and working abroad and still prioritize travel as much as we can – even taking our husky to try out tacos and city life in Mexico City recently. We also spend a lot of time playing games. I am the world master of Cribbage and Catan, but please don’t try and verify that with my husband.

Do you have any advice for someone looking for a similar position?

Put yourself out there and don’t underestimate what you can learn and accomplish. I started my career as a middle school teacher before transitioning into cyber security. If you are passionate about problem solving, learning, and collaborating, you can stand out in this field.
