Check Point Email Security now simplifies Outlook Add-In deployment and management with a single XML configuration for both Classic Outlook and New Outlook.

Managing the Outlook Add-In previously required administrators to maintain separate XML configuration files for different Outlook clients. Updating configurations that required a new XML also meant removing the existing add-in from all users before redeploying it. This release streamlines both deployment and ongoing management, making administration faster and less disruptive.

With this enhancement, administrators only need to generate a single XML file that works across both Classic Outlook and New Outlook. This eliminates the need to manage multiple deployment files, simplifies rollout across mixed environments, and reduces the risk of configuration inconsistencies between users. However, note that there are still differences in supported features between Classic Outlook and New Outlook, as detailed in the official documentation.

In addition, configuration updates that require a new XML are now much easier to deploy. Instead of removing the existing add-in and reinstalling it for all users, administrators can simply update the add-in through the Microsoft Admin Center. This reduces administrative overhead, minimizes disruption for end users, and makes it easier to keep the Outlook Add-In up to date with the latest configuration changes.

This feature is being gradually deployed and should be available in customer portals over the next 7 days.
