Categories and Winners

The first category is Hyperscale Security Implementation of the Year using Maestro Hyperscale Orchestrator. The Bank of New Zealand easily ensured the right level of security with a Maestro cluster implementation across three data centers. Oliver Speer, Security Architect for the bank said “The management overhead of Maestro is really, really, really small.”

Cyber security is a core pillar of the Defense Logistics Agency‘s mission to secure its supply chain. “The Maestro Orchestration project enables us to adjust and adapt traffic flows, which was especially critical during our migration to remote work. Our perimeter firewalls didn’t miss a beat,” said Jamie Purola, Lead Firewall Engineer for Defense Logistics Agency.

In the Cloud Security Implementation category, three winning organizations use Check Point CloudGuard solutions to secure their cloud migration and digital transformation initiatives.

For Canada’s Canaccord GenuityGroup, Check Point CloudGuard not only delivered new visibility and reduced risk but also transformed its culture for improved communications and operations. “What really differentiates Check Point from the rest of what we see in the marketplace is that they truly care about their customers,” said Greg Drazenovic, Vice President, Enterprise Infrastructure & Security for Canaccord Genuity.

Staying aligned with security best practices and frameworks like SOC2, PCI and ISO 27001 is critical to Thales InFlyt Experience. The City and County of San Francisco, California, faced a spike in malicious emails at the onset of the pandemic. Using Harmony Cloud Email and Collaboration (formerly Avanan), they implemented email security safeguards.

The Infinity Implementation of the Year category features FedEx and Tel Aviv Municipality. To help secure its global network, FedEx chose Check Point Software Technologies to efficiently and effectively manage its firewalls and remote access.  During the global pandemic in the past two years, these technologies have helped to enable the FedEx workforce to securely work from home, while increasing compute capacity through data center expansion to support business growth.  “Check Point is a strategic partner of FedEx.” said Xuan Liu, Vice President, InfoSec for FedEx. “We value Check Point’s commitment to innovation, putting new products in the market and investing heavily in R&D.”
